How do I set up a 1850 Conference Call?

At 1850 we like to make things easy for you. Whether you are at home, in the office or on your way. With 1850 Conference Call it is so easy to set op a conference call with colleagues, clients or even friends. No registration needed, no booking of the call needed, no contractual obligations. Just set up the call in 3 easy steps:

  • Claim your personal PIN and decide what time you'd like to plan the call.
  • Invite your clients or colleagues and tell them the time and the PIN.
  • Call in The Netherlands 0900 1855 (15ct/min) and you all dial the same PIN. Find your international dial in numbers here.

What can I expect when I dial in?

As soon as you dial in, you will be welcomed by an automated message from 1850. You will be asked to enter your PIN after the BEEB. Once you have done that, you will be asked to say your name and that will be recorded. If you are the first one to dial in, you will hear music. With a minimum of two people in the call, the Conference Call has started. Every time someone new entres the call, they will be announced through their recorded name.

Use shortcodes during your 1850 Conference Call?

#6 = MUTE Dial #6 and mute your phone. Especially handy when you are present in noisy suroundings. You will be able to hear what's said during the call, but when you speak other won't hear you.  Dial #6 again and you'll turn off the mute.
#1 = COUNT Do you want to know how many people are present in the call? This shortcode will help you, by dialing #1.
#2 = WHO ARE PRESENT Do you want to know who is present in the Conference Call? Dial #2 and you can hear all the recorded names of all the ones present in the call as well as a total count.
#3 = LOCK THE CALL For extra security you can lock the call. Dial #3 and no one can entre the Conference Call anymore. In this way your 1850 Conference Call stays closed and other can't join your call. You can unlock the call again by dialing #3 again.

What to do when you finished the 1850 Conference Call?

Just hang up the phone. Everytime someone leaves the call, his or her recorded name will be announced. For example: ''Mister Smith is now leaving the call''.
